The Douglas County Individual Practice Association, Inc., (DCIPA) an Oregon Corporation, was formed in 1993 to provide a structure by which its shareholders, as physicians in the active practice of medicine, could respond to changes in local, regional and national medical care delivery and reimbursement systems. The principal activity of DCIPA is that of a fully-capitated health plan with the State of Oregon to administer the Oregon Health Plan in Douglas County.

DCIPA's mission is "Serving the Needs of Physicians and their Patients in Douglas County."
